<p>Apparatus for an air conditioner and a method for controlling the same are provided to enable operation states of the air conditioner to be displayed by detachably attaching a portable imaging device reproducing moving images to the air conditioner. Apparatus for an air conditioner comprises a base(12) disposed on the floor, a cabinet(10) installed on the top rear portion of the base to form a contour of the air conditioner, and a front panel(20). The front panel is installed on the top front potion of the base and coupled with the front surface of the cabinet. The front panel is provided with a portable display device(30), which is able to display operation states of the air conditioner and be detachably attached to the front panel. The cabinet includes an intake port(14) formed at both sides of the lower part thereof to intake an indoor air, and an exhaust port(16) for exhausting the air, which has been introduced in the inside of the cabinet, to the indoor.</p> |
