A method for applying a fluorescent material on a PDP(Plasma Display Panel) is provided to improve an image quality by preventing an applied fluorescent material from diffusing into adjacent discharge cell lines. A fluorescent material supply pump(30) supplies a fluorescent material through a fluorescent material supply tube. A pulsation damper(40) suppresses a vibration from the fluorescent material supply tube and maintains a constant pressure on the fluorescent material. A filter(50) removes pollutants from the fluorescent material, which is supplied through the pulsation damper. A nozzle(60) applies the filtered fluorescent material on a barrier rib. A heat source(70) preliminarily dries the fluorescent material, which is applied on the barrier rib through the nozzle. A power supply supplies a voltage to the heat source.
