An automatic winding device is provided to obtain auxiliary sewing threads having the same winding number and shape by automatically winding the auxiliary sewing threads. An automatic winding device comprises a rotation tube(116), a winding piece(121), a motor(111), a winding rod(134), a lifting cylinder(131), and a cutting unit. The rotation tube is rotatably coupled with an upper part of a body(101) to supply an external sewing thread. The winding piece is coupled with a lower side part of the rotation tube and has a roller(123) and a bush(124) to guide the sewing thread to a guide groove. The winding rod is fixed at both sides of a connecting bar(133) inside a case(105) and is inserted in a through hole(106) formed on a surface of the case at a predetermined interval. The lifting cylinder is installed in the case to lift up and down the winding rod and couples a piston(132) with the connecting bar. The cutting unit cuts the sewing thread after winding a predetermined amount of sewing threads by rotating the winding piece.
