A secondary battery is provided to simplify a process for manufacturing a secondary battery, to enable repairing of internal contact defects, to prevent deformation, explosion and short of a battery. A secondary battery comprises: a bare cell(100) including an electrode assembly, a can for housing the electrode assembly, and a cap assembly for sealing the top opening of the can; a protection circuit module electrically connected to the bare cell; and a member(400) surrounding the protection circuit module, and attached/ detached to/from the bare cell at the top thereof. The member includes an attachable/detachable casing having a hollow inner space. |
