An overhead instrument console is provided to display information regardless of types of input signals and reduce time and cost for manufacturing, designing, and installing the console by manufacturing the standardized console. An overhead instrument console(100) includes I/O units(200), a plurality of display units(300), a control unit(500), and a power unit(400). The I/O units digitalize an essential external input signal including information required for sailing of a ship and change the digitalized signal into an RS-422 signal for a serial communication. The display units display a corresponding signal among the signals transmitted from the I/O units and transmit the remaining signals to other display units. The control unit controls maintenance or repair of each component of the overhead instrument console by LAN communication through a hub(600), distributes each one IP address to the display unit, and sets up a display type and a mode at the IP address. The power unit converts main power into DC power corresponding to the over head instrument console and supplies the power to each component of the over head instrument console. In case of trouble of the main power, the power unit generates a warning message and controls each component to be operated by emergency power of the ship. |
