An illumination device or lamp comprises a plurality of light emitting diodes (LED) 19 or other light sources mounted in a housing. The housing can be mounted on or by a bed, by means of apertures 30 in a back plate 10. The housing also has a front cover 11, with windows 26, 27 to pass light and apertures enabling access to operating switches 23, one for each LED 19, and for a dimmer and on/off control 25. A timer switch is also provided. Means for directing the illumination comprise a part 26 which is rotatable between alternative positions in end supports 28, 29. |
