The tobacco package (1) has a guiding adapter (7) i.e. sliding guide adapter, provided in the area of a tobacco delivering opening for guiding a movement of a tobacco package to a complementary guiding of a tamping machine. The guiding adapter has a guiding unit, which is arranged in the movement direction of the package opposite the tamping machine. A plate-shaped edge extension is arranged in the range of the tobacco delivering opening. An independent claim is also included for a tobacco packing tamping machine system with a tobacco package.
