Initialisation of a VoIP connection

The method involves generating a signaling message with an internet protocol (IP) address of a terminal (11) e.g. voice over IP (VoIP)-compatible landline telephone. The message is transmitted to a connection server (10) e.g. Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) proxy, of the terminal, and is provided for transmission to another terminal (21). Another signaling message with an IP address of the terminal (11) is received by the terminal (21). Connecting agents (14, 24) are implemented in corresponding security modules (12, 22), which are provided with microprocessor chips. An independent claim is also included for a system for initializing voice over internet protocol (VoIP) connection between two subscribers.
