The invention relates to cripowellins and synthetic derivatives thereof for the treatment of human diseases and especially the use thereof for producing a medicament used for the treatment of cancer or other proliferative diseases in humans and animals. The invention further relates to novel cripowellin derivatives and methods for the production thereof.
