An electro-optic device and an electronic device are provided to reduce in plane switching generated between first and second edge parts to reduce drop of contrast and removing afterimages and tailing when displaying video. An electro-optic device comprises a pair of substrates, an electronic optical material, and first and second pixel electrodes(9a1-1,9a2-1). The first and second pixel electrodes, placed adjacent to each other, receive different electric potentials. The first pixel electrode has recessed parts(501) formed at a first edge part(29a1). The second pixel electrode has projected parts(502) formed at a second edge part(29a2). The projected parts are overlapped by the recessed parts within the predetermined region. The recessed and projected parts have the same plane shapes. Thereby, the in plane switching generated between the first and second edge parts is reduced, and afterimages and tailing when displaying video are removed.
