PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device that can easily extract at least a portion of light signals transmitted on a signal main line into a light signal branch line, and to provide a light signal wiring and light signal extraction method. SOLUTION: If an external optical fiber 21 is not connected to the optical device 3, a mirror part 31 is deviated out of the light signal main line 2, since a branch line side optical fiber 24 and ferrule 25 are biased by a spring 28. Consequently, the light signal, transmitted on the light signal main line 2, travels from a main line side optical fiber 8 to a main line side optical fiber 9. When the external optical fiber 21 is connected to the optical device 3, the branch line side optical fiber 24 and ferrule 25 advance with respect to the light signal main line 2, while resisting the biasing force of the spring 28, and the mirror part 31 is positioned on the light signal main line 2. Accordingly, the light signal transmitted on the light signal main line 2 changes its optical path from the main line side optical fiber 8 to the branch line side optical fiber 24, and travels on the light signal branch line 4.
