<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device suppressing deterioration in picture quality by improving ununiformity caused depending on a pattern on a polishing surface at the time of chemical-mechanical polishing. <P>SOLUTION: A quartz glass substrate 10 is provided thereon with thin film transistors comprising a conductive light shielding film 11, an interlayer insulating film 12, a polycrystalline Si film 13, a gate insulating film 14, and gate wiring 15, and between the thin film transistors and pixel electrodes 24, an intermediate layer is arranged having an area where signal wiring 17, lead-out electrodes 18, and conductive light shielding layer 20 are placed in a matrix form. This intermediate layer is provided with a 1st interlayer insulating film 19 for filling the intervals between the signal wiring 17 arranged in a matrix form, and a 2nd interlayer insulating film 23 between the pixel electrodes 24, and the 1st interlayer insulating film and the signal wiring 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
