ORGANOMETALLIC COMPLEXES WITH ARYL GROUP AS HYDROGEN STORAGE MATERIALS AND A METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME

Organometallic complexes with aryl group are provided to store and use hydrogen under the conditions near the room temperature and room pressure through Kubas binding between transition metal and hydrogen, and improve hydrogen mass per unit volume by binding several transition metals to one molecule by using hydroxy group as a reaction group. Organo-transition metal hydride complexes represented by the formula(1): Ar-(OMHm)n are provided, wherein Ar is C6-C20 aromatic ring or fusion ring having the aromatic ring; the carbon atom in the aromatic ring or fusion ring is optionally substituted by hetero atom such as nitrogen, oxygen or sulfur; the aromatic ring or fusion ring is optionally substituted by halogen element, -NO2, -NO, -NH2, -R^1, -OR^2, -(CO)R^3, -SO2NH2, -SO2X^1, -SO2Na, -(CH2)kSH or -CN; R^1, R^2 and R^3 are each independently C1-C30 linear or branched alkyl group or C6-C20 aromatic group; X^1 is halogen atom; k is an integer from 0 to 10; M is a transition metal element having valence of 2 or more; m is a valence of M, -1; and n is an integer from 1 to 10.
