<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic substance particle capable of vertical magnetic recording and easy in the control of a grain size, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic substance particle 1 contains Pd, Fe and Co. Further, the manufacturing method of the magnetic substance particle 1 comprises (i) a process for arranging Pd particles on the principal plane 20a of a rock-salt single crystal substrate 20 while heating the rock-salt single crystal substrate 20, and (ii) a process for arranging Co and Fe on the Pd particle while heating the rock salt type single crystal substrate 20 to form the magnetic substance particle 1 containing Pd, Fe and Co. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
