<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agar food for drinking, enabling dispersing agar gel in agar sol without forcibly stirring, having new palate feeling with plain feeling in the throat and moderate thickness, and free from causing syneresis. <P>SOLUTION: The agar food is obtained by heating and melting in water, low strength agar which has 0.1 mass% or above and gelling concentration or below (agar whose agar molecule is shortly cut and gelling strength is adjusted to 250g/cm<SP>2</SP>), organic acid and/or inorganic acid to adjust pH to 3.0-6.0, and water-soluble salt which releases potassium and/or bivalent cation such as potassium chloride, calcium lactate and magnesium chloride, and filling the product in a container such as PET-bottle when heating followed by cooling. The gel agar food free from causing syneresis is produced by adjusting agar concentration to gelling concentration or above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
