<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device and an information processing method for providing information for easily estimating the physical layout of the installation place of each device even when the installation places of a plurality of devices arbitrarily move. <P>SOLUTION: This information processing device is provided with: an information acquisition means for acquiring the information of the other device from the other device with which a signal has been transmitted and received; a link list preparation means for preparing the information list of the other device; an information exchanging means for exchanging the information list respectively held by the other device and its own device with each other; a connection means for, when there is the information of the device which is not described in the information list held by its own device in the information list acquired from the other device, transmitting and receiving a signal with the device of the information, and for acquiring the information list held by the device from the device, and for successively repeating this process until the information of the device which has not communicated with its own device becomes absent in the acquired information list; a path information preparation means for preparing the information of the connection path with the other device based on the information list held by its own device and the acquired information list; and a layout information preparation means for preparing the physical layout information of its own device and the other device based on the information of the connection path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
