<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent induction of thermal runaway of a battery while efficiently cooling the battery. <P>SOLUTION: This battery pack is provided with: battery train units 11 each formed by arranging batteries 1 side by side in a line; a holder case 2 where a plurality of lines of battery train units 11 are arranged side by side by forming air passages 6 among the plurality of train units 11; and is structured to cool the batteries 1 by feeding cooling air to the air passages 6. This battery pack is provided with thermal chain prevention ribs 7 between the train units 11 adjacent to each other. The thermal chain prevention rib 7 is provided, on one-side surface, with a fitting groove 8 guiding the batteries 1 of one line of the train units 11, and is arranged on one side of the air passage 6 by being brought into a thermally coupled state to the batteries 1 by inserting the batteries 1 of one line of the train units 11 into the fitting groove 8. In the battery pack, each battery surface exposed to the outside from the fitting groove 8 is cooled by the air fed to the air passage 6, and the thermal runaway of the batteries 1 is prevented, by the thermal chain prevention rib 7, from being induced in the adjacent train. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
