<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate image processing. <P>SOLUTION: An inter-frame prediction processing apparatus 1 has an address notifier 2 and a prediction value calculator 3. In executing motion compensation while referring to a region existing outside of the boundary of a present processing target motion vector detection unit pair, when an image to be processed is MBAFF (macro block adaptive field/frame) on the basis of an MBAFF type and a coding type; the address notifier 2 informs the address of a memory in which the motion vector of a reference destination of a region, in response to the coding type of a unit pair of detection of the present target motion vector and the coding type of the reference destination. The prediction value calculator 3 reads the motion vector of the reference destination of the memory on the basis of the informed address, and calculates a motion vector prediction value per detection unit of present processing target motion vector of the present processing target motion vector detection unit pair. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
