PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device where the detection of light emission intensity for each illuminant or each desired region is made possible, even when the light from a plurality of the illuminants is detected with a single detection means. SOLUTION: The display device which can independently change the light emission intensity of the first and second illuminants is provided with a light emission intensity detection means, capable of detecting the light emission intensity of the first and second illuminants; a light emission time indication means for indicating the detection period of lighting either the first or the second illuminants, and making the other of either the first or the second illuminants; a light emission intensity calculation means for calculating the light emission intensity of either the first or of the second illuminants, on the basis of the detection result by light emission intensity detection means during the detection period.
