PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous cosmetic providing a mousse shape substantially without containing oil, and having smooth, light and peculiar sense of use, excellent cool and refreshing feeling and excellent adhesion; and further to provide an O/W type solid cosmetic exhibiting a marshmallow shape, and having smooth, light and peculiar sense of use, excellent cool and refreshing feeling and excellent adhesion in addition to the convenience of being solid, and a marshmallow-shaped O/W type solid cosmetic having characteristics of changing a part of the surface into the mousse shape when water is dropped on the part. SOLUTION: The mousse-shaped aqueous cosmetic is obtained by formulating (a) sodium polyacrylate and (b) a powder. The O/W-type solid cosmetic is obtained by formulating (a) the sodium polyacrylate, (b) the powder and (c) a fatty acid soup. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
