PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel strip coiling machine capable of suppressing the vibration of whole constituting units including a press roll even if the press roll goes over a rugged part of a take-up reel when applying oil to a surface of a steel strip by using an oil applying nozzle and the press roll. SOLUTION: The steel strip coiling machine 1 comprises the take-up reel 4 for taking up the steel strip 2 into a coil, a plurality of oil applying nozzles 9 for jetting oil toward a surface of the steel strip, and the press roll 5 which is pressed against an outer circumferential part of a coil-like steel strip 3 to be coiled and allows the oil jetted toward the surface of the steel strip from the oil applying nozzle to be uniformized on the surface of the steel strip. The press roll has a buffer function in the pressing direction of the press roll so as to be retreated following the wind-thickening of the coil-like steel strip and the step of the take-up reel, and the oil applying nozzle is installed on a frame 6 for holding the press roll.
