A system and a method for call forwarding, and a server and a method for synchronizing an address book for the same are provided to offer a caller name, stored in a communication terminal before call forwarding, through a communication terminal after the call forwarding, so that a receiver can identify easily a caller. A system for call forwarding comprises plural communication terminals(10), a communication system(20), and an address book synchronizing server(30). The communication system provides a voice or data service to the communication terminals, matches and stores a communication terminal number before call forwarding and a communication terminal number to be call forwarded according to the call forwarding service request of a communication terminal user, request the address book synchronizing server to synchronize an address book, extracts the communication terminal number to be call forwarded when a called event is generated in the communication terminal before the call forwarding, and requests and receives a name matched to a calling communication terminal to the address book synchronizing server. The address book synchronizing server is connected to the communication terminal through the communication system, collects the address book information of the communication terminal to be call forwarded according to the request of the communication system, and extracts the name which is matched to the calling number and stored according to the request of the communication system, and transmits the calling number to the communication system. |
