A contents reproducing apparatus and method for an interactive service and a recording medium therefor are provided to offer more various types of contents to users by facilitating contents production for providing the interactive multimedia service. A contents reproducing apparatus for an interactive service(100) comprises the followings: a control unit(110) which controls the whole operation of a contents reproducing apparatus; a DB(Database)(170) which stores information related to the contents reproducing apparatus according to the control of the control unit; a timer driving unit(130) which operates a timer according to the control of the control unit and notifies a corresponding component of an event processing time when it is a preset event processing time; and an event processing unit(150) which processes a corresponding event at the preset event processing point according to the control of the control unit.
