<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device where unstirred toner is effectively diffused and efficiently stirred. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device develops an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor drum 2 by conveying a developer on developing rollers 10, 11 and 12 to a developing area by magnetic force. It has a block 20 provided at a spot where the density of the developer is low on a developer conveying path, and changing the conveying direction of the developer by abutting on the developer which is being conveyed, thereby making toner in the developer get into the developer.
