PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the release time lag, without influencing the image quality of still images. SOLUTION: A digital camera includes a CCD, a signal processing circuit, an AFE including a CCD drive circuit, an LCD driver, and an LCD monitor. When a release button is fully depressed and photographing operation processing for a still image is started, exposure processing is performed.
