STAINLESS STEEL ANODE FOR ALKALINE WATER ELECTROLYSIS, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic cell using a stainless steel anode having improved corrosion resistance and an electrolytic method. SOLUTION: The corrosion resistance of the stainless steel anode for alkaline water electrolysis is enhanced by immersing the anode in a corrosive solution before electrolysis. An electrolytic cell using the stainless steel anode treated as stated above is disclosed herein. The stainless steel anode treated by a pretreatment process has higher corrosive resistance than that of an untreated anode with the same composition.
