PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the prior art and in particular to form polymers which can easily be polymerized and can also be easily crosslinked. SOLUTION: The invention relates to polymer-containing compositions containing (a) a polymer (I) containing at least two functional groups selected from a group consisting ofβ-ketocarbonyl andβ-enaminocarbonyl groups, (b) a compound (II) of a metal selected from the group consisting of the transition metals and the lanthanides and main groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 with the exception of the boron and carbon.
