PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide animation format data in which interchangeability is held even in an application which is not compatible with the higher order standard, and efficient file size and edition processing of animation data are achieved. SOLUTION: The method includes: a process for generating first index information part based on a first standard including management information of the animation data; a process for generating animation data index part constituted of animation data and the first index information part; a process for generating an animation format file constituted of one or a plurality of animation data index parts. Further, the method includes: a process for generating second index information part based on the second standard being interchangeable with the first standard; and a process in which the second index information part is arranged directly after the animation data index part. The second index information part generates animation format data including management information when a part of information of the first index information part is converted into a format based on the second standard.
