PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program preparation support device specifying easily a defective portion in a program by a general operator. SOLUTION: This program preparation support device is provided with a program storage part 1 for storing the program, a program modification part 3 for modifying the stored program by a prescribed procedure, a program execution part 4 for executing the modified program, a variable information acquisition part 5 for acquiring a value of a variable of each command in the executed program, a correspondence between the each command and the variable, and variable information comprising an execution order of the respective commands, a display information control part 6 for acquiring the each command in the program and the variable information acquired by the variable information acquisition part 5. to be converted into display information, a display information storage part 7 for storing the display information, and a display part 8 for acquiring the display information stored in the display information storage part 7, and for displaying the plurality of commands, the values of the variables included in the respective commands, and the execution order of each of the commands, out of the display information.
