PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool with good workability, which reduces the maximum operation angle of a handle, and simply cutting a material by a booster mechanism at the time of cutting. SOLUTION: In this cutting tool, a fixing blade 1 with a first gear 1d formed at one part of an outer periphery is fixed to a tip of one handle 10, and a movable blade 2 is journalled by a first shaft 20. The other handle 3 is journalled to a tip of an arm part 2c projecting from the movable blade 2 by a second shaft 21, and a second gear 3d provided to the other handle 3 is meshed with the first gear 1d, and closed, so that the movable blade 2 is rotated to cut a material with a circular section. The first gear 1a and the second gear 3d are meshed with each other when the handle 3 is closed to a predetermined angle. However, when the handle 3 has an angle more than the predetermined angle, the gears are not meshed with each other, and the second gear 3d slides along the outer periphery of the fixing blade 1.
