摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-pressure casting apparatus which can make a space formed above a molten metal in a pressurization chamber simply communicate with a stalk protrusively provided from a pouring port in a mold, or a guide hole connected to the pouring port in the mold to allow an inert gas to be filled into the stalk or a guide hole. SOLUTION: The low-pressure casting apparatus comprises a molten metal holding chamber 1 for holding a molten metal, a pressurization chamber 2 which is in communication with the molten metal holding chamber through a communication hole 4 and faces the lower end of a stalk 8 or is connected to the other end of a guide hole 21 for pressurizing the molten metal by an inert gas, an opening/closing valve 5 for opening and closing the communication hole, a level sensor 9, and an inert gas supply means for supplying an inert gas to the top of the pressurization chamber, the level sensor provided for sensing the upper surface level of the molten metal in the pressurization chamber in which, when the upper surface of the molten metal within the pressurization chamber is pressurirzed by an inert gas to fill the molten metal into a mold, and after the filled molten metal is solidified, the communication hole is opened to return the molten metal in the pressurization chamber to the molten metal holding chamber, and the space formed above the molten metal in the pressurization chamber can be made communicate with the inside of the stalk or the inside of the guide hole.
