<p>The procedure for the production of a coil spring from a wire (11), comprises rolling two flattenings by means of a forming device (3), which is arranged under an angle >= 0[deg] to an imaginary diameter line (D) of the wire, coiling the spring by means of a coiling machine in such a manner that the imaginary diameter line is arranged perpendicularly to a longitudinal axis of the finished coil spring, and forming the convex flattenings. The flattenings are arranged under an angle 7.5[deg] = alpha = 11.5[deg] to the diameter line. The procedure for the production of a coil spring from a wire (11), comprises rolling two flattenings by means of a forming device (3), which is arranged under an angle >= 0[deg] to an imaginary diameter line (D) of the wire, coiling the spring by means of a coiling machine in such a manner that the imaginary diameter line is arranged perpendicularly to a longitudinal axis of the finished coil spring, and forming the convex flattenings. The flattenings are arranged under an angle 7.5[deg] = alpha = 11.5[deg] to the diameter line. The angle alpha opens in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the finished coil spring. The flattenings are arranged symmetrically to the imaginary diameter line, which runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the finished coil spring. The wire is pulled by means of a catchment device (5) through the forming device. The wire is led before and/or in the catchment facility and is rotated before reaching the winding machine with the help of an orientation device (9) around its longitudinal axis.
