A non-aqueous electrolyte battery having improved water resistance is provided to inhibit a propane sultone compound added to the electrolyte from reacting with moisture present in the battery, thereby improving the quality of the battery. A non-aqueous electrolyte battery comprises a cathode, an anode, an electrolyte and a separator, wherein the electrolyte comprises a propane sultone(PS) compound substituted with at least one electron-withdrawing group, and either or both of the cathode and the anode are obtained by using an aqueous binder. The electron-withdrawing group is at least one selected from the group consisting of halogen atoms, nitro(NO2), trifluoromethanesulfonyl, pentafluoroethanesulfonyl(SO2C2F5), pentafluorophenyl(C6F5), methanesulfonyl (SO2CF3), phenylsulfonyl(SO2Ph) and methyl ester(COOCH3). |
