A THIN FILM TRANSISTOR AND A FLAT PANEL DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

A thin film transistor and a flat display device having the same are provided to prevent a peeling phenomenon due to a difference between thermal expansion coefficients of a substrate and a buffer layer. An adhesion reinforcing layer(105) is formed on one surface of a substrate(100), and an intermediate buffer layer(110) is formed on the adhesion reinforcing layer. A semiconductor layer(125) is formed on the buffer layer, and a gate electrode(135) is interposed between the semiconductor layer and the gate electrode. Source/drain electrodes(135a,135b) are formed on the gate insulation layer. The intermediate buffer layer and the buffer layer are made of SiO2. A passivation(120) is formed on the other surface of the substrate.
