PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that can perform winding work of coil in an easy and inexpensive manner. SOLUTION: For a spool 33, having an arcuate profile in the winding widthwise direction of coil such that the central portion becomes convex, a winding material 21 is wound up to the center starting from one end side of the spool 33, and then it is wound from the other end side of the spool 33 toward the center, thus finishing winding of the first layer. The winding material 21 is prevented from slipping down on a down slope, formed when the winding material 21 is sequentially wound from one end side to the other end side of the spool 33, by varying the winding method, without using adhesive or forming trenches in the spool 33.
