PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head preventing side erase and having good recording characteristics, and a magnetic disk device. SOLUTION: A first magnetic pole surface 21A has a shape along the a track end 415A positioned on the boundary 43 side of a track 41A while being positioned on an innermost peripheral track 41A included in a first area 45A to prevent side erase in the enlarged skew angle. A second magnetic pole surface 21B similarly has a shape along a track end 41B positioned on the boundary 43 side of a track 41B while being positioned on an outermost peripheral track 41B included in a second area 45B to prevent side erasing in the enlarged skew angle.
