PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and small sample measuring device that is suitable for carriage, and is also easy in calculation processings of concentrations. SOLUTION: This sample measuring device 10, which determines the concentration of a target component in a chemical liquid sample CS, comprises an ultraviolet light lamp source 20 which generates an illuminating light containing ultraviolet light; an ultraviolet transparent cell 30 which holds a chemical liquid; a bandpass filter 40 which allows only specific wavelength components to pass through, out of the light transmitted through the ultraviolet ray transparent cell 30; a light-detecting apparatus 50 which detects a light beam passing through the bandpass filter 40; an amplifying apparatus 60 which appropriately amplifies electric current output or the like of the light-detecting apparatus 50; and an output display apparatus 70 which visually displays the output of the amplifying apparatus 60.
