PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely and surely detect leakage between electric wires without using water. SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for inspecting a water stop part of wire harness is provided with a mounting part 11 comprising a pressure chamber 2 and an inspection chamber 3 through a partition wall 4 and inserting and adhering the water stop part 13 of the wire harness 12 in the partition wall 4, a compressed air supply part 7 and a pressure chamber pressure gage 9 in the pressure chamber 2, and an inspection chamber pressure gage 10 in the inspection chamber. The apparatus inserts the water stop part 13 of the wire harness 12 from the pressure chamber 2 to the inspection chamber 3 without any gap, supplies compressed air 6 to the pressure chamber, and detects leakage from the water stop part by measuring the pressure of the pressure chamber and the pressure of the inspection chamber. When a leakage amount from the water stop part 13 is Qcc, a differential pressure of air leaked from the pressure chamber 2 to the inspection chamber 3 isΔP, an inspection time is T sec, and a volume of the inspection chamber is V1cc, the leakage amount Q is detected by an equation:ΔP=(Q/V1)×(T/60)×101,325 ps.
