PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a surface grille for windows, which enables an intermediate member and the grille for windows to be mounted through a one-shot operation, and which makes the mounted state of them proper and durable. SOLUTION: In this mounting structure, the grille 30 for windows is mounted on the lug portion 13 of a window frame 10, which is mounted in the opening of a building, along with the intermediate member 21 via a bracket 40. A latching claw 42, which is integrally formed at the end of a latching claw supporting arm 47 elongated from a main body portion 45 of the bracket 40, is fitted into a gap which is made between an edge of the intermediate member 21, fitted into the lug portion 13 of the window frame 10, and the lug portion 13 of the window frame 10. The bracket 40 is fixed to the lug portion 13 of the window frame 10 along with the intermediate member 21 by means of a back abutting plate 43 and a side abutting plate 44, which are elongated from the main body portion 45 of the bracket 40. The surface grille 30 is mounted on the fixed bracket 40. A material, which is higher in strength and hardness than aluminum and not subject to electric corrosion, is adopted as a material for the bracket. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
