PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen-bonded type glycoprotein sugar chain-associated compound having a new core 4 structure without requiring basic condition as essential at final de-protection in a glycopeptide synthesis, and a method for chemically synthesizing the same. SOLUTION: This oxygen-bonded type glycoprotein sugar chain-associated compound having a new core 4 structure is provided by bonding a galactosyl-β-(1→4)-N-acetylglucosamine structure (lactosamine) with the hydroxy groups at the 3rd and 6th positions of N-acetylgalactosamine, protecting all of hydroxy groups in the N-acetylgalactosamine residue and lactosamine residue with benzyl or benzylidene group, and also protecting the amino group in threonine residue or serine residue with 9-fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl group.
