PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to simply and accurately predict a reaction extent of a reaction product at a reaction time in a solid-gas reaction. SOLUTION: The prediction type computing device is provided with: a memory 22 for storing i (i≥2) batches of operation condition information each of which contains the reaction time (t<SB>i</SB>), the reaction extent (y<SB>i</SB>) and the concentration (c<SB>i</SB>), a flow rate (q<SB>i</SB>) and a charged amount (m<SB>i</SB>) of a gaseous raw material and is obtained at each trial of i batches of solid-gas reactions; and a first operation part 23 for calculating coefficients a and b of an expression of a regression line: y=a×x+b (wherein x=c<SB>i</SB>×q<SB>i</SB>×t<SB>i</SB>/m<SB>i</SB>; and y=y<SB>i</SB>(i=1, 2, ...)) on the basis of i batches of the operation condition information stored in the memory 22.
