The present invention relates to a process for the cosmetic treatment of keratin fibres, in particular of human keratin fibres such as hair, consisting in applying an anhydrous cosmetic composition in the form of a water-soluble film comprising at least one water-soluble or water-dispersible film-forming polymer and in bringing the fibres thus treated into contact with a fluid comprising water vapour.
