MALE STERILITY PLANT BODY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a male sterility plant body producing male sterility plant bodies in wide plant species in a good efficiency and a method for producing the same.

SOLUTION: This method for producing the male sterility plants comprises a process of making the plant body as the male sterility plant by introducing a DNA encoding phenoloxidase into a plant genome. The DNA encodes a laccase derived from Coriolus versicolor. The DNA is expressed in the stamen and anther of the plant body.
