<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug for prevention/treatment of neural degenerative disorders (e.g. polyglutamine disease). <P>SOLUTION: The drug for prevention/treatment of neural degenerative disorders includes an HMGB family protein or its derivative, for example, the protein (a) or the protein (b). (a): A protein having an amino acid sequence as described in the protein sequence number 2, 4, 6 or 8.
