<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal carbide sintered compact improving yield of the metal carbide while suppressing the production cost. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing metal carbide sintered compact comprises a mixing step S1 of mixing a compound containing a metal (silicon Si) or a metal element and a fibrous compound containing carbon, a sheet-like forming step S2 of forming the mixture prepared in the mixing step S1 into a sheet-like mixture by a wet paper-making process, a firing step S3 of firing the sheet-like mixture prepared in the sheet-like forming step S2; and a sintering step S4 to prepare the metal carbide sintered compact by sintering the mixture by microwave heating. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
