摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of supplying EGR gas from a high pressure EGR passage and EGR gas from a low pressure EGR passage in the proper ratio, in an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust gas recirculating device has the low pressure EGR passage for recirculating a part of exhaust gas to an intake passage on the upstream side of a compressor of a turbocharger from an exhaust passage on the downstream side of a turbine of the turbocharger, the high pressure EGR passage for recirculating a part of the exhaust gas to the intake passage on the downstream side of the compressor from the exhaust passage on the upstream side of the turbine, a target EGR ratio determining means (S101) determining a target value of the EGR gas ratio in the gas in a cylinder, and an actual EGR ratio estimating means (S104) estimating an actual value of the EGR gas ratio in the gas in the cylinder; and changes high pressure EGR gas and low pressure EGR gas in a changing quantity of an EGR gas quantity so as to become a predetermined value, when changing the EGR gas quantity on the basis of a difference between the target value and the actual value of the EGR gas ratio (S112 and S113). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
