POLARIZATION DEVICE, OPTICAL DEVICE USING SAME, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE, AND LIGHTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarization device capable of controlling light at a high speed.

SOLUTION: The polarization device is provided with a first reflector 2 for radiating light beams forward from a light source 1, a second reflector 3 having an opening part 7 and arranged in front of the first reflector 2 so as to reflect the light beams from the first reflector 2 to a light source side and collect light, a third reflector 4 arranged so as to emit the light beams collected by the second reflector 3 from the opening part 7, and a reflector moving means 8 for moving the second reflector 3 or the third reflector 4 in an optical axis direction.
