PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method for adapting sound source localization system on-line, that is, a localized operating method. SOLUTION: This is the method comprises a step (210) to direct first and second microphones toward the sound source, a step (220) to measure both ears time difference (ITD) between the two microphones, and a step (230) of repeating the two steps (210, 220), until the both-ear time difference (ITD) becomes smaller than the predefined threshold (ε). For a pair of the first and second microphones, it is desirable that this method additionally include a step of directing third microphone toward the sound source, a step of measuring the both-ear time difference (ITD) between the second microphone and the third microphone, and a step of repeating the two steps, until the both-ear time difference (ITD) becomes smaller than a predefined threshold (ε<SB>2</SB>).
