PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water meter installation unit structured more simply than the conventional water meter installation unit, the water meter installation unit including: a long supporting member; a first channel forming member fixed to one end of the supporting member; and a second channel forming member fixed to the other end of the supporting member; wherein the first and second channel forming members nip a water meter such that end faces of the first and second channel forming members are respectively pressed against connecting screw portion end faces of the water meter, and the first channel forming member have a cylindrical slide holder that makes contact with one connecting screw portion end face of the water meter so as to press the water meter toward the second channel forming member, a lock nut that engages with the slide holder so as to drive the slide holder, and a slide guide, fixed to one end of the supporting member, which engages with the slide holder so as to prevent the slide holder from rotating. SOLUTION: The lock nut is rotatably supported by one end of the slide guide and immovably supported in a direction of movement of the slide holder. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
