PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jack-type base metal fitting which can be used in a stable state for building frames of any pipe diameter even when building frames of different pipe diameters are used at a construction site. SOLUTION: An adjustment nut 4 is screwed to a screw rod 2 provided upright on a bed plate 1, and the adjustment nut 4 can be moved up and down by regular-reverse rotation. Then a supporting part 6 for a pipe 5 of a small diameter and a supporting part 8 for a pipe 7 of a large diameter are provided to the upper part of the adjustment nut 4. Then the pipe 5 of a small diameter can be inserted to the screw rod 2 so that the inner peripheral surface 5a of the pipe 5 of a small diameter can be moved along the outer peripheral surface 2a of the screw rod 2.
